The “Stelea” Galleries were opened for visitors on january the 30-th, 1944, but were founded in 1937, by Royal Decree.

The building hosted, from 1970 until 1985, museum's archaeology collection, which is now exhibited at The Museum Of History.
The building has been hosting temporary exhibitions ever since. Now the building shelters two exhibitions: The Ethnography Exhibition and The Popular Art Exhibition, that include the most valuable products of Dambovita rural tradition (fabrics, ceramics, wooden dowry chests).
