The museum of Moreni contains objects and pieces that illustrate the history of the Moreni town – modern and contemporary epoch plus elements from western civilization and culture. The museum also contains an important ethnography exhibit.

In the summer of 1999 a contemporary art museum was opened in Moreni. This museum exhibits a small part of the works of some contemporary plastic artists tied to Dambovita county by their works. In addition, the museum sets up some temporary exhibits, like “The Gheorghe Petrascu biennial exhibition”, held periodical at “Stelea” Galleries in Targoviste.
